My very first experience out of the country was one I'll never forget. #theresafirsttimeforeverything
Twelve. One. Ninety-Three.
I don't even know where to start with this trip. It was literally everything I could've imagined and more.
I went to the Dominican Republic and although I thought I would be staying in Punta Cana I was actually in a city called Playa Bayahibe. It was such a learning experience because of course, as yall know, this was only my second time traveling anywhere...so as you could imagine going out of the country was a HUGE step. But hey, you only turn twenty-fineee once right?
This video pretty much sums everything that I did...absolutely NOTHING. Ha-ha!
I was so stressed about what excursions to do when I realized I really just wanted to rest and do nothing for once. So everyday I got cute, ate, and laid on the beach while being served champagne and fresh fruit. Does it get any better than that? I mean why go on vacation and do everything but rest.
I tried a few different foods. I've never been afraid of trying foreign foods, I don't care what it is...I'll try anything once! The main thing that absolutely blew my mind was that no one spoke English...
OMG...I had to learn Spanish so fast y'all it wasn't even funny!
But I mean for the most part it worked out...I just used Siri to translate everything for me. It really became a hassle when trying to communicate with the maid every morning. Either way before I go anywhere else out of the country I know now to brush up on the language there.
Sooo, let me tell you guys how I even got there. My travel agent is BOMB.
Her name is Brandy Ferguson and she's actually a really close friend of my family. Her booking experience was so simple and smooth, I was so surprised. She started off by asking for my budget. Well I didn't really know my budget because I hadn't really ever been anywhere so I wasn't sure what was considered normal or overpriced. She put me in the best priced package that was all inclusive. Now mind you, I had no idea what all inclusive meant but it sounded good so I was in LOL
So at the time of booking I paid a small deposit just to get my foot in the door. The remainder of the balance wasn't due until 45 days before the trip...and that was it!
A few days before my flight, Brandy sent me this cute, personalized link that had my itinerary for the whole trip written out and I was on my way. She was also available 24/7 the entire time I was away, all I had to do was call or text and she was there to answer any questions I had. She made it so easy, I've already started planning my trips for 2019.
I can't believe I waited until I turned twenty-fineee to get out into the world but now that I've started, it's only up from here. If you're thinking about traveling in the year, I HIGHLY recommend you check her out. The link to Brandy's business page is below.
Where's somewhere you've always wanted to go? Why?What are you waiting for?
